She said someone had also tried to withdraw $2,825 from her checking account via Western Union on June 12. Her bank approved the transfer but was able to cancel it before it was picked up. The same exact transaction was attempted on June 14, only this time it was approved and picked up before her bank was able to stop it.

2:04 p.m. – Police arrested Todd M. Alicea, 22, of Nickerson Street in Pawtucket, on a warrant after someone from Sunshine Daycare reported seeing a man walking outside the building with a hammer in his hand. Police found him on Davisville Road. He said he was walking to his job and was carrying the hammer because it was uncomfortable with it in his backpack.
