Obituary: Nicholas Joseph Gershkoff, 20

Generous, considerate and affectionate, Nicholas loved everyone and everyone loved him.

Nicholas Joseph Gershkoff, 20, of North Kingstown, died Friday, Nov. 22. Born in Providence, he was the beloved son of Jo-Ann M. (Reynolds) Gershkoff of North Kingstown and Robert W. Gershkoff of Narragansett. 

Nicholas graduated from North Kingstown High School in 2011. In 2013 he received an Associate’s Degree from New England Institute of Technology, graduating second in his class and inducted into the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. Always mechanically inclined and an extremely hard worker, Nicholas was in the process of completing a Bachelor’s Degree at NEIT. While his first love was boats and being on the water, he equally enjoyed diagnosing car engines and working with tractors.  

Generous, considerate and affectionate, Nicholas loved everyone and everyone loved him. Besides his parents, Nicholas leaves his twin sister and brother, Julia A. and Alexander C. Gershkoff, both of North Kingstown. Nicholas also had many aunts, uncles and cousins who adored him. He was the grandson of the late Robert and Collette Gershkoff and the late Joseph and Barbara Reynolds. 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, Nov. 30, at 10 a.m. in St. Francis de Sales Church, 381 School St., North Kingstown. Burial will be in Quidnessett Memorial Cemetery, North Kingstown. Visiting hours Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. in the FAGAN-QUINN Funeral Home, 825 Boston Neck Road, North Kingstown. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to ManyFaces1Voices.org, a multi-faceted campaign to advance the addiction recovery advocacy movement.
