His sense of humor was one of his most well developed and noticeable strengths. His sharp wit in conversation, his appreciation of absurd and situational comedy, and his ability to make just the right joke; these may be the strongest memories many will keep. His gift for understanding complexities made it a joy to discuss politics, history and philosophy with Kilcline. Such gifts also enabled him to show great compassion not only for his loved ones, but for people all over the world, especially those who were suffering.

Kilcline was a supporter of various local and international charities, and had looked forward to a life of work in service to others. He was a regular donor to The St. John of Jerusalem Eye Hospital Group, which provides crucial eye care and helps to alleviate poverty in Gaza, the West Bank and East Jerusalem. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to this organization will be appreciated. http://www.stjohneyehospital.org.

A celebration of his Life will be held Monday, April 8, 2013 at 6 p.m. in the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Avenue, Warwick.
