Beautify. Simplify. Personalize. These are the core elements of Kim Norton-O'Brien's design process. Kim has been designing residential interiors since 1996 using these founding principles. She has an innate understanding of color, texture, scale and flow and how they work together to create interiors that are beautiful and functional.

Kim has been involved in design since childhood - regularly rearranging furniture and accessories in her parents' home. After college, she began helping friends and family design their homes and there the seed for her business was planted. Later she enrolled in Rhode Island School of Design's interior design program and Norton-O'Brien Design (www.nortonobriendesign.com) was officially born.

Her rooms combine a mix of modern and traditional elements layered together to create a customized interior that speaks to the homeowner. She believes the process of design should be fun for her clients and the end result something that gives them peace and pleasure. Her passion for interior design and client satisfaction is evidenced in each and every project.

When not designing, Kim is passionate about women's and children's causes.  She is a 20+ year volunteer with Alpha Phi International Fraternity and has served on the Board of Directors of the Alpha Phi Foundation. She also volunteers with the North Kingstown, RI school department. She lives with her husband Keith and two children in Wickford, Rhode Island and Cape Cod, Massachusetts.
