Having moved to Rhode Island from NJ in 2009, I used my own home as a guinea pig to create my own Fresh Nest. I got my groove on and knocked down walls, added floor to ceiling windows, painted my dining room turquoise (yep!) and found my true calling. After years of helping friends and family decorate their homes and countless nudges from others to offer my talents to the world, Fresh Nest Color & Design was born.

I studied under Kate Smith and got my color certification through the only certification program recognized by the ASID, Sensational Color for Your Home. I love color, but realize some people need to ease into it and like a more subtle approach in their homes. I take a fresh approach to color and design and pride myself on my ability to create beautiful, functional spaces on a practical budget. So many people want a beautiful home, but one that can withstand the tests of children and a without breaking the bank. I love what I do and I believe any space has the potential to look fantastic. But I don’t think you need to drop 15K on a fancy couch to make that happen. Many of my most satisfying projects are those that have small budgets with big transformation goals.

I take a personal interest in each color and design project, doing everything in my power to ensure the end product meets or exceeds each client’s expectations. 

So, with my Patch Blog, I hope to inspire your creative side; to be your virtual interior stylist and color consultant; to help you through some of those common design dilemmas. I want to help you select that perfect color and possibly encourage you to step outside your comfort zone. Because, that's when it gets REALLY fun.
