Actually I think a franchise wins on french fries. And my choice is Chili's. The one I visit is next to Lincoln Mall in Lincoln, RI. I assume all other Chili's locations make their fries the same? I hope so. Maybe somebody knows if they do.   more ›

You Pick: Best Fries in North Kingstown

Where can you get the best fries in North Kingstown?

We eat a lot of french fries in our lifetime, and after awhile, they all start to taste the same: a little salty, slightly crispy, decent after a dip in ketchup. But when you're served an extra special platter of fries, you know it. Maybe it's because they're hand-cut or extra crispy. Or it's because they're curly or covered in cracked black pepper. Whatever it is, you know when they stand out because they become more than just a side order. They become the main enjoyment of the meal.  Everyone has their opinion about who serves up the best local fries. What's yours? Do you find yourself craving fries at Duffy's, Oak Hill Tavern or Beach Rose? We want to hear your thoughts on which restaurant serves up the best french fries in town. Vote …

If you're like most drivers, you know how to operate a car, but know little of the car's operation. Patch wanted to help readers find the best, most reliable auto mechanics around. Throughout Rhode Island, Patch polled readers to find out where's the best place to take a car for service. After five days of voting, the winners are in. Check out who won below and let us know which you think is best in the comment …
