Food and Beverage Employees Endorse Question 1
UNITE HERE Local 217 ratified a new contract with Twin River and endorsed Question 1, according to a release.
More than 200 Twin River food and beverage workers and members of UNITE HERE Local 217 ratified a new, five-year agreement with Twin River that will boost hourly earnings by 12 percent by the end of the contract. The union also passed a measure endorsing Question 1, a state ballot issue that would allow casino gambling in the Lincoln venue. The ballot question, if approved, would "preserve the good middle class jobs at Twin River," the union said in a release.
