Making 'Head'-lines
The North Kingstown Fire Department is going under the razor again for this year's St. Baldrick's event.
Once again, the North Kingstown Fire Department is making “head”lines, helping to raise money to combat childhood cancer. For the second consecutive year, IAFF Local 1651 members are gearing up to shave their heads for donations to the St. Baldrick’s Foundation. The St. Baldrick’s Foundation is a volunteer-driven charity committed to funding the most promising research to find cures for childhood cancers and give survivors long and healthy lives. The foundation funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government.
