Utah Man Sentenced to 11 Years in NK Drug Bust

One of three men arrested after one of the largest cocaine seizures in state history has been sentenced.

  A Utah man has been sentenced to 11 years in federal prison following his arrest last year in one of the largest drug busts in Rhode Island history. A federal judge sentenced Adilson A. Reyes, 31, to 135 months in federal prison followed by five years of supervised release upon completion of his prison term. In April 2011, Reyes pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute more than 5 kilograms of cocaine.  Three months prior to his guilty plea, Reyes and his two accomplices (Armando Saucedo, 33, and Andrew Rios, 42, both of California) were arrested at a warehouse in North Kingstown off Dry Bridge Road where they were basing their drug trafficking operations. Final Suspect In RI's Largest Drug Bust Pleads Guilty

The last suspect in a Jan. 29 drug bust at a North Kingstown warehouse, believed to be the largest seizure of drugs and cash in Rhode Island history, pleads guilty.

  Andrew Rios, 41, of California, pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court in Providence today to federal drug trafficking charges in connection with the seizure of 65 kilos of cocaine and more than $1.2 million in cash in North Kingstown in January 2011, the largest cocaine seizure ever in Rhode Island. Rios, appearing before U.S. District Court Judge William E. Smith, pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to distribute and possess with the intent to distribute five kilograms or more of cocaine and one count of possessing with the intent to distribute five kilograms or more of cocaine. A plea agreement signed by the defendant and the government, and filed with the court, recommends a prison sentence of 204 months in federal prison. Rios …
