Pet Of The Week

Pet of the Week: Cassie

Meet Cassie – a pure breed black lab looking for her forever home.

My name is Cassie and I am a three-year-old (by the way “beautiful”) pure breed black Lab. Currently I live at the North Kingstown Animal Shelter and like many shelter dogs there is a reason for it. Unfortunately my new friends at the shelter don’t know exactly what happened to me over the last few years and being the dog I am I haven’t told them but showed them. I made a few bad choices (didn’t we all?) and tried to get my way by snapping at people. I guess I never understood what’s going to happen if the “hand” comes up to me. Is it going to pull me, drag me, hit me or pet me? Can I trust people? Why do they call me just to lock me up all day? Wouldn’t you have trust issues? Fortunately my new friends decided not to put me to sleep even …
