NK Police: Man Allegedly Steals, Crashes Roommate's Truck

Warwick Woman Hit With Theft Charges Kayleigh A. O’Brien, 20, of 38 Calhoun Ave. in Warwick, was arrested June 10 at 10:30 a.m. on charges of larceny. According to reports, O’Brien stole a digital camera, sunglasses and jewelry from an acquaintance’s house in North Kingstown in April. The victim reportedly suspected O’Brien of trying to steal her Alex & Ani bracelets earlier in the day and later saw a post on O’Brien’s Facebook wall that alluded to O’Brien stealing items from people. Records showed that O’Brien had previously pawned of jewelry at Westerly Enterprises three times in February 2011. After police made multiple calls to O’Brien, a warrant was issued for her arrest in June. Warwick police arrested O’Brien and turned her over to …

Pizza Thief Steals Domino's Order Jonathan Patrick Toolin, 20, of 79 Union Drive, Apt. D110, in North Kingstown, was arrested June 4 at 12:46 p.m. on charges of larceny after allegedly failing to pay for an order from Domino’s Pizza. On May 31, a Domino’s delivery driver told police she arrived at 79 Union Drive with a delivery order and was met by Toolin at the front door. According to the woman, the man told her, “I’ll take that” and said he needed to get money to pay for the order. According to reports, Toolin dropped the hot wings and breadsticks on the floor as he left, then ran out the back door with two other men. Police brought the delivery driver to headquarters for a photo line-up, during which she allegedly identified Toolin as …

NK Police Log: DUI Suspect Drove on Flat Tire

Alleged Intoxicated Driver Drove on Flat Tire Stephen Hamilton Rudis, 43, of 1081 Lafayette Road in North Kingstown, was arrested June 2 at 4:25 p.m. on charges of drunken driving and driving without a license. Police received a bulletin of a possible intoxicated driver. As an officer followed, Rudis swerved erratically in and out of the lane and even into the opposite lane on Lafayette Road. Later, the officer noticed that one of Rudis’ tires was completely deflated. (Later, Rudis would reportedly tell the officer he was unaware of the flat tire and did not know how it had happened.) NK Woman Charged With Shoplifting Holly Lynne Hinkson, 22, of 620 Devils Foot Rd., Apt. 6 in North Kingstown was arrested May 25 at 1:55 p.m. on charges of shoplifting from Kohl’s. Hinkson allegedly tried to steal three pairs of shorts by stowing them in her purse. She is scheduled for arraignment in Third District Court on June 5. Car Stolen From Driveway Police are looking for a stolen 1995 Toyota Camry that was taken from its owner’s driveway on May 24. According to the owner, his son borrowed the car and returned it on May 24, leaving the car unlocked and hiding the key underneath the floor mat so his father could use the car the next morning. Police Pin NK Woman For Credit Card Fraud

A North Kingstown woman is facing charges of stealing a credit card and racking up $3,000 worth of charges and cash withdrawals.

North Kingstown police arrested a North Kingstown woman suspected of credit card fraud yesterday after a months-long investigation, according to WPRI. Lisa St. Laurent, 30, of North Kingstown was arrested by police after allegedly stealing a credit card from a Jamestown residence on April 24. Since then, St. Laurent reportedly used the credit card at several stores and ATMs in North Kingstown, East Greenwich and Providence. According to police, St. Laurent racked up more than $3,000 in charges and withdrawals before the cardholder discovered the credit card was missing. St. Laurent was featured on Rhode Island's Most Wanted prior to her arrest.

DUI Suspect Loses Motorcycle North Kingstown police officers were called to the Route 4 and Tower Hill Road junction for a possible motor vehicle accident. At the scene, officers allegedly found several feet of debris in the roadway and a yellow motorcycle in the center median, which police determined had fallen off a trailer while it was being towed. The owner of the motorcycle was later found in South Kingstown after officers arrested the man, identified as David Cihat, 41, of 1090 Tower Hill Road in North Kingstown. According to South Kingstown police, officers arrested Cihat for suspected drunken driving after he was spotted towing an upside down trailer in their town. NK Police Log: Alleged Drunk Dialer Phones 911 Instead of Mother

Alleged Drunk Caller, Trying to Call Mother, Phones 911 Police responded to a Pendar Road residence after a woman accidentally called 911. According to the dispatcher, the woman seemed confused and believed she was talking to her mother rather than a police dispatcher. When police arrived at the residence, the 43-year-old woman appeared to be “highly intoxicated” and her speech was “barely understandable.” The woman’s friend allegedly told police that the two were arguing before the woman tried calling her mother in Nebraska, but was “too drunk” to realize she had inadvertently called 911. Man Served No-Trespass Order After Alleged ‘Up-Skirt’ Pics North Kingstown police responded to Job Lot on Frenchtown Road for a report of a man taking “up-skirt” photos of a female customer. The 36-year-old woman said the suspect, a 36-year-old North Kingstown man, had placed his phone down near her legs and tried to take picture up her skirt. A store employee told the man about the complaint and asked him to wait in the store for police to arrive. According to the employee, the man complied but immediately began “flipping through his phone.” According to reports, the man was “noticeably trembling” while speaking to officers. Woman Allegedly Slams Head Against Wall After Arrest Lisa Marie Tanner, 45, of 158 Sayles Ave., Apt. 4 in Woonsocket, was arrested April 10 at 9:17 p.m. on charges of disorderly conduct. Tanner’s ex-husband called police after she allegedly become intoxicated at his house while visiting their son. When police arrived, Tanner reportedly began to yell and curse at her ex-husband. According to reports, three small bottles of wine fell out of her purse during questioning. Intoxicated Man Spooks Horse, Cited for Public Drunkenness Police received a call of an intoxicated man at Ryan Park on March 30 after he allegedly spooked a horse, causing its female rider to be thrown from the animal. According to reports, three women were riding horseback along the path when they encountered the 49-year-old man, who was passed out across the path. The man allegedly raised his hand up to show a cell phone and yelled, “Look at my new cell phone.” One of the horses allegedly became spooked by the man waving his cell phone around and took off, throwing its rider, a 20-year-old North Kingstown woman.
