3rd Domestic For NK Man Dismissed

Christopher Turenne, 37, of 65 Ewing Road, North Kingstown, pleaded no contest on April 16 to a North Kingstown police charge of disorderly conduct. Turenne was ordered to serve six months probation and a six-month suspended sentence, and to pay $90 in assessments. An additional charge of felony domestic assault was dismissed, and a no-contact order between Turenne and a North Kingstown woman was dismissed. Probation Ordered in Knife Case

James Hammar, 40, is ordered to surrender a knife and to serve a year of probation after pleading no contest in Superior Court.

James Hammar, 40, of 80 Samuel Rodman St., South Kingstown, pleaded no contest on March 28 to charges of trespassing and possession of a weapon other than a firearm. Hammar was ordered to serve a year of probation and a year-long suspended sentence, to pay $180 in assessments and to surrender the knife as part of his plea bargain. An additional charge of domestic disorderly conduct was dismissed, and the trespassing charge downgraded from a felony, in return for Hammar’s plea. NK Man Sentenced To Year For Domestic Offenses

Keith Mongillo, 35, is ordered to serve a year at the ACI after pleading no contest to repeatedly violating a no-contact order.

Keith Mongillo, 35, of 60 Georgia Ave., North Kingstown, pleaded no contest on March 8 to a North Kingstown police felony charge of violating a no-contact order. Mongillo was ordered to serve a year at the ACI, retroactive to Oct. 31, 2012, followed by four years probation and a four-year suspended sentence. Mongillo was also ordered to pay $575 in assessments and to complete domestic abuse counseling. NK Police Log: Woman Wanted on Warrant Refuses to Leave Bathroom

NH Woman Charged With Shoplifting Emma Bailey, 21, of 26 Seminole Drive in Nashua, NH was arrested Feb. 13 at 6 p.m. on charges of shoplifting from Kohl’s. According to reports, Bailey was seen taking merchandise into a fitting room at the store and exiting the room without the items. A Kohl’s employee confronted Bailey after she exited the store. She allegedly stole a purse, jeans and two bras, totaling $152. She was released on $1,000 personal recognizance. Warwick Man Caught on Charges of Writing Fake Checks  Leonard V. Traficante, 35, of 14 Nekic Rd. in Warwick was arrested Feb. 13 at 10:15 p.m. on two counts of writing fraudulent checks. “It’s Not Illegal to Punch Your Sister in the Face, Is It?” Michelle Lee Canfield, 41, of 6101 Post Rd., Unit 15 in North Kingstown was arrested Jan. 23 at 8:49 p.m. on charges of domestic assault and domestic disorderly conduct. According to the victim (Canfield’s sister), Canfield arrived at her home uninvited and under the influence. When Canfield tried to see the woman’s infant grandchild (who was asleep at the time), the victim tried to block her, resulting in Canfield allegedly shoving her several times. Canfield reportedly took her cell phone out and called 911, then put it in her pocket. When police responded, Canfield was standing outside and trying to get back into the house, ignoring officers entirely. According to police, she …

Kelly Anne Sherman, 26, is ordered to serve three months probation after pleading to domestic charges related to a machete.

Kelly Anne Sherman, 26, of 425 Broad St., Cumberland, pleaded no contest on Dec. 14 to North Kingstown police charges of domestic disorderly conduct and domestic refusal to relinquish a telephone. Superior Court Associate Justice Melanie Thunberg ordered Sherman to serve six months probation, to complete domestic abuse counseling and to pay $430 in assessments. In return for her plea and proof of Sherman entering a mental health program in October, an additional charge of domestic felony assault was dismissed. Man Pleads to Driving Arrested Man’s Car

Luis Rosa, 19, is ordered to serve probation after pleading no contest to driving the car of a man arrested the day before without permission.

Luis Rosa, 19, of 53 Lyons Drive, West Warwick, pleaded no contest on Nov. 27 to a North Kingstown police charge of tampering with a motor vehicle. Superior Court Associate Justice Melanie Thunberg ordered Rosa to serve six months probation and to pay $91 in assessments. An additional charge of driving with a suspended license was dismissed in return for Rosa’s plea. NK Police Log: Fight Over Xbox Leads to Arrest

NK Man Charged With Violating No-Contact Order  Jonathan Edward Dumsar, 18, of 552 Devils Foot Rd., Apt. B307 in North Kingstown was arrested Aug. 21 at 9 a.m. on charges of violating a no-contact order. During a routine follow-up, a North Kingstown officer saw Dumsar leaving the residence of a woman who was protected by a no-contact order against him. (According to police logs earlier this month, Dumsar had allegedly assaulted the woman on Aug. 15.) According to reports, when the woman saw the police cruiser, she began yelling at Dumsar to “go back the other way.” Police arrested Dumsar and brought him to Third District Court for arraignment. NK Police Log: Pawtucket Teens Charged With Alcohol Possession

Pair of Pawtucket Teens Charged With Alcohol Possession Jordon R. Laplume, 18, of 212 Cameron St. in Pawtucket, and Jaice A. Morgan, 19, of 28 Warwick Road in Pawtucket, were arrested June 20 at 2:40 a.m. on charges of possession of an alcoholic beverage by an underage person. According to reports, Laplume and two others were drinking alcohol in a car on Peachtree Road after 1 a.m. As police talked with Laplume, Morgan and another friend exited a nearby residence and walked to the car. Police allegedly saw a silver can through a hole in a backpack that Morgan was carrying. According to reports, Morgan (19 years old) admitted he was carrying alcohol. Inside the backpack, officers allegedly found a can of Coors Light and a pint of Pabst Blue…
