JW Graham, Customers Donate $3K to Food Pantry

JW Graham thanks its customers for helping to raise $3,117.67 for the food pantry.

In August, JW Graham kicked off its "Feed the Pantry" fundraiser – benefiting the North Kingstown Food Pantry. Throughout the month, JW Graham and Yes! Gallery offered discounts for those who donated to the pantry. Customers who donated $10 received a 10 percent off coupon; $20 for 20 percent off; and $30 for 30 percent.  This year, the food pantry was at an all-time low with the shelves nearly empty as summer vacation kicked off.

5 Things: Cooking Classes, Sewers & JW Graham

Five things to know for Aug. 1.

1.  Join Chef Normand Leclair for cooking classes at the North Kingstown Free Library tonight. Chef Leclair will teach participants how to make Reuben chicken, apricot-horseradish salmon and sweet potato pancakes – to new a few. Starts at 6 p.m. Registration is necessary. For more information visit: NKFL or call (401) 294-3306. 2.  Sewer work on Camp Avenue is under way. From 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., residents in that area are asked to use Circuit Drive to exit/enter the neighborhood.
