An unknown woman allegedly returned stolen merchandise at HomeGoods in North Kingstown.
The North Kingstown Police Department is searching for a woman suspected of scamming HomeGoods in North Kingstown earlier this month. On March 13, an unknown woman allegedly shoplifted multiple items at the store and then immediately returned the stolen merchandise for store credit. According to reports, she appeared to be alone. The woman left the store in a silver or gray Honda sedan with an unknown registration. HomeGoods' new location in Quonset is set to open this weekend.
HomeGoods is opening its new store at The Shops at Quonset Point this Sunday. According to the Providence Journal, the store is planning a "day-long grand opening." Earlier this year, HomeGoods announced it would be vacating its longtime location farther up Post Road and moving into a 22,000 sq. ft. facility in Quonset. HomeGoods will join Verizon Wireless, Kohl’s, Dave’s Marketplace Supercuts, Central Nails, Subway and Sally Beauty in the 400,000-square-foot retail development at the mouth of Quonset Business Park. The store – specializing in discount housewares from bedding to bath to frames and furniture – will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on opening day.

HomeGoods of North Kingstown is moving and – for those worried their favorite place to buy pictures frames, towels and other assorted house wares will be departing to a far away place – fear not.
