From Glocester to North Kingstown, farmers markets offer Rhode Island-grown and produced products.
From Aquidneck Island to South County to the northwest corner of the state, Rhode Islanders now have six winter farmers’ markets available where they can purchase a wide variety of locally-grown and produced products for the holiday season. Coastal Growers Winter Farmers Market Coastal Growers Market moved things indoors this month for its Winter Market, now located in the upper level of Lafayette Mill on Ten Rod Road just west of Wickford Village. The winter market is open from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Saturday from Nov. 3 to April 27, 2013. During the spring and summer, the market is found at Casey Farm in Saunderstown. Hum. I am thinking the above is a joke? Most restaurants charge 10.00 - 12.00. I recently went to the Ocean House and ordered a vodka martini and a ginger ale, handed the bartender 20.00 and got back 45 cents. If you are serious Mr. Henricks, don't go there or you will certainly have a stroke!   more ›
