Check for drafts around doors, windows and the fireplace. If you are lucky and have glass doors in front, make sure to cover with plastic if flu doesn't close tight. Heat will go up the chimney. Also check air conditioning ducts in ceiling and make sure the returns are sealed and the dampers are closed. Another place for heat to leak out. more ›
