Police said Doreen Drake of North Kingstown was driving the wrong way on Route 37 Friday night.
A 34-year-old North Kingstown woman was charged with driving under the influence after she was allegedly crashed her car while driving the wrong way on Route 37 in Cranston. Rhode Island State Police reported that Doreen Drake, of 90 Salisbury Ave., North Kingstown, was charged with driving under the influence at around 11:30 p.m. Friday on Dec. 7. Police said the arrest was the result of troopers responding to a crash on Route 37 "following several 911 calls to the Lincoln Woods Barracks advising of a wrong way driver," according to a police report. Drake was transported to Rhode Island Hospital where she refused a blood test. She was arraigned before a Justice of the Peace and released pending a future court date in Third Division …

Ambien Allegedly Causes Accident on Post Road Vincent J. Herchen, 43, of 73 Cedar Grove Drive in Exeter, was arrested Sept. 10 at 7:57 a.m. on charges of driving under the influence. Herchen allegedly drove into a tree off of Post Road that morning after he was “blinded by the sun.” (Officers noted at this time the sun was out of the east and would not have interfered with southbound traffic.) While speaking with Herchen, officers allege he was slurring his words, his pupils were constricted and he had small white granules throughout his mouth.
