As the birthplace of an American painting master, the Gilbert Stuart Birthplace & Museum is a must-see attraction in North Kingstown. On the museum's twenty-two acres, visitors will find the 250-year-old Hammond Grist Mill, Gilbert Stuart's house, herb gardens and nature trails. Visitors can learn about the famous painter and get a slice of life in the 1700s. Guided tours are given each hour, on the hour.
