Willet Free Library open house: Join the folks of Willet as they celebrate one year in their renovated building. Enjoy a cup of coffee, tea, cocoa or cider and spend some time by the fire! 45 Ferry Rd.  9 a.m. to noon.

Coastal Growers/Winter Farmers Market: The indoor market at Lafayette Mill hosts vendors including Besto Pesto, Absolona Greenhouse, Pat’s Pastured, Olga’s Cup & Saucer, The Local Catch, Wishing Stone Farm, Farmstead Cheese and MORE (click here to see them all). From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. 650 Ten Rod Road.

Recycle Your Christmas Tree: Live Christmas trees can be recycled at the Transfer Station (345 Devils Foot Road) free of charge through Jan. 25. Trees must be free of all decorations and removed from bag used to transport prior to disposal. After January 25, regular disposal rates will apply.

On Sunday …

OLM School Open House: Our Lady of Mercy School will host Open House and Registration for new families for the 2014-15 academic year on Sunday. Student tour guides, faculty, staff and parent ambassadors will be on hand for tours of the school, information on OLM's many extracurricular activities, as well as refreshments and activities for the prospective students and their families. 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Rocky Hill School Open House: Rocky Hill School in Potowomut is holding an open house on Sunday. The school serves preschool through grade 12 and postgraduate students. Tour their waterfront campus, see how ipads and other technologies are integrated into the classroom and learn about their unique partnerships with Save the Bay and Trinity Rep. 1 to 3 p.m.Sonoma Bistro and Wine Bar, 7366 Post Rd., 295-0800, sonomabistrori.com. 8:30 to 11:30 p.m.
