Two family yard sale, rain or shine: At 440 Ives Road in Potowomut. From 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Yard Sale w/Auction to follow: Northerbee’s is holding a “huge” yard sale from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m., followed by a cash auction at 2. At the American Legion Post 15, Main Street, East Greenwich.

LAST of the season/Casey Farm Market: This is the last of the farm’s terrific farmers market for the season. An indoor farmers market at the Lafayette Mills begins Nov. 9, but this is your last chance this year to visit the market at Casey Farm. From 9 a.m. to noon.

Drug Take-Back Day: North Kingstown residents will be able to drop off their unwanted or expired prescriptions at the NK Police Department, 8166 Post Road, as part of the Drug Enforcement Administration’s National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day. The NKPD accepts unused or expired medications year-round.

Library Book Sale: The Friends of the Library holds its annual sale Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Collectors take note: This sale will include a special table of “antique” books from the 19th and early 20th centuries at slightly higher prices. Buck-a-bag sale from 2 to 3 p.m. All sales benefit the Friends of the NK Free Library.

Haunted Aquarium: Save The Bay's Exploration Center & Aquarium is the place to be this weekend! It's fun for all ages and only mildly terrifying at the spookily-decorated aquarium. The theme is Pirates of The Bay. Kids get up close and personal with jittery jellies, monstrous mantis shrimp, and scary skates. Come in costume and receive $1 off admission! Easton’s Beach, 175 Memorial Blvd., Newport. Open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

On Sunday …

Wickford Horribles Parade: Bring your “Horribles” out in costume to the annual Wickford Village parade. It starts at St. Paul’s Church (55 Main Street) at noon. This fun and festive children’s parade will end with storytelling by Maria Day Hyde. It includes a little candy treat for all the kids. Sponsored by the NK Arts Council.

Horse Play's Fall Festival: The equine rescue and sanctuary is holding a fall festival from noon to 4, featuring pony rides, pumpkin painting, tack-and-tag sale, fortune telling and a variety of games. At 143 Gilbert Stuart Road. For more information, call 294-3565 or email horseplayri@msn.com.
