Weekend Agenda: Harvest Festival At Smith’s Castle

On Saturday …

Fall Foilage Breakfast @ Slocum Grange: Slocum Grange is having a Fall Foliage Breakfast 7 to 10 a.m. at Slocum Grange Hall on 96 Slocum Road. The menu will be French toast, eggs, bacon or sausage, cheese omelet, home fries, Johnny cakes, toast, coffee, tea, cocoa, & orange juice. $7 for adults, $3.50 for children 5-10. There will be a Bake Table and a Craft Table.

Casey Farm Market: Every Saturday morning (from 9 a.m. to noon), the farm holds a terrific farmers market. The farm itself is beautiful and the  foods for sale are both that and delicious. From 9 a.m. to noon.

Harvest Festival at Smith Festival: The Castle will come alive at our Harvest Festival on Saturday, October 19th (rain date Sunday, October 20th) noon to 4 pm, like it was "back in the day". Children and adults will enjoy the food, music, vendors, learning information from the farmers and Master Gardeners, John Austin displaying his equipment and videos on his Para-normal experiences and people can try their hand at quilting. $6, $3 for children 6 to 12 years, free for members and children 5 and under, 55 Richard Smith Drive (off Post Road north of Wickford Village).

West Bay Open Studios: 23 artists in East Greenwich, Warwick, and North Kingstown will open their studios to the public in their fifth-annual West Bay Open Studios Tour. The tour is free and self-guided. This once a year opportunity gives art lovers and collectors the perfect venue to shop for fine art and crafts. Many artists will be giving talks and demonstrations, offering insight on their creative process. Pilates Stance Grand Opening: A pilates studio offering individual and duet lessons on equipment and mat holds a grand opening. Specializing in creating a personalized experience for each person beginner through advanced. 10 a.m. at 23 Brown Street.

Autumn Festival: The Seasons East Greenwich will be having an Autumn Festival on Saturday, October 19, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The location is 5 Saint Elizabeth Way in East Greenwich. We will have live music with R.I. Rednecks at 11:30 a.m., demonstrations with Grand Master Hong's World Class Taekwondo Center at 2 p.m., food, crafters, antique autos and firetrucks, face painting and a doggie adoption day with Friends of Homeless Animals. There will be something for everyone!

On Sunday …
