Coastal Growers/Winter Farmers Market: The indoor market at Lafayette Mill hosts vendors including Besto Pesto, Absolona Greenhouse, Pat’s Pastured, Olga’s Cup & Saucer, The Local Catch, Wishing Stone Farm, Farmstead Cheese and MORE (click here to see them all). Winter Assistance Fair for Military: The Family Assistance Center wants to help military service members and their spouses stay warm this winter by offering the first annual Winter Assistance Fair Saturday from 12 to 4 p.m. Offerings (all free) include heating assistance, winterization demos, financial Counseling, expert tax preparation, gently used winter coats and door prizes. ‘The September Issue’ @ EG Free Library: Ever wonder exactly who decides what next year’s trends will be? On Saturday at 2 p.m., show up unfashionably on time for a screening of "The September Issue," with an introduction by EG resident Diane McCraken of Johnson & Wales Fashion Merchandising Department. This revealing and sometimes funny documentary is a rare look inside the workings of Vogue magazine as editor Anna Wintour and creative director Grace Coddington produce the heavyweight September issue. Recycle Your Christmas Tree: Live Christmas trees can be recycled at the Transfer Station (345 Devils Foot Road) free of charge through Jan. 25. Trees must be free of all decorations and removed from bag used to transport prior to disposal. After January 25, regular disposal rates will apply.
