Coastal Growers/Winter Farmers Market: The indoor market at Lafayette Mill is back! Among the vendors are Besto Pesto, Absolona Greenhouse, Pat’s Pastured, Olga’s Cup & Saucer, The Local Catch, Wishing Stone Farm, Farmstead Cheese and MORE (click here to see them all). From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. 650 Ten Rod Road.

Atwater-Donnelly Barn Dance: Put your dancing shoes for a Community Barn Dance featuring the musical group Atwater-Donnelly at Rocky Hill School. Atwater-Donnelly  provides a unique and thrilling blend of traditional American and Celtic folk music and dance, along with original songs and poetry. All ages are welcome and all levels of dancing ability as well! $5/person or $10/family. 6 p.m.

Recycle Your Christmas Tree: Live Christmas trees can be recycled at the Transfer Station (345 Devils Foot Road) free of charge through Jan. 25. Trees must be free of all decorations and removed from bag used to transport prior to disposal. After January 25, regular disposal rates will apply.

Baby Octopuses: 
By now you may have heard about NK's own octomom. You can visit her and a few dozen of her children at Biomes, open Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
