Yard Sale: Among the items for sale at the yard sale – Christmas decorations, toys, children's clothing infant to age 10, toys, new twin mattress, toys, baby furniture, toys bikes, camping tents, trampoline, swing set. 221 Cassandra Lane, from 9 a.m. to noon.

Nature Craft Day: Stop by Kettle Pond Visitor Center, 50 Bend Road, Charlestown, any time between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. to take part in fun crafts and activities that will explore wild, crawling, and sometimes slimy creatures and the habitats they live in.

On Sunday …

Free concert at NK Free Library: Library Deputy Director Susan Moreland began playing the violin at age of 9 when she studied in the classical tradition. Nick Smith has been writing and performing an eclectic selection of music since his high school years in the late sixties and currently plays in several groups. Susan and Nick have been performing together for nearly a decade and have embarked on a mission to bring his original music to the world. In addition to his original compositions they will play some folk and rock favorites. Please register.

Our Little Picture Show: The Wickford Art Association gallery goes from Nov. 22 to Dec. 18 at our gallery at 36 Beach St. in North Kingstown. The Little Picture Show is our last gallery event of the year. All the artwork in this exhibit is 8" x 10" or under & priced to sell. If you (or someone on your Christmas list) like art, this is a good opportunity to pick up a wonderful, moderately priced piece from a talented local artist. The reception & holiday gala will be held on Sunday, Dec. 8, from 1 to 3 p.m. As always, it is free and open to the public and refreshments will be served.
