Don't Miss "The Music Man" This Weekend

There's no question students in North Kingstown have musical talent.

This weekend, The North Kingstown High School Fine Arts Department is giving the public a chance to enjoy some of that talent in a production of "The Music Man," Meridith Wilson's Tony Award-winning musical about a traveling con man and his experiences in a rural town in Iowa.

More than 100 local students are taking part in the production and it represents the largest cast ever for this production.

More than 40 Wickford and Davisville Middle School band members and singers from area elementary schools will compliment the cast of 80 high school actors, singers, dancers and crew members.

Senior Mikhail Hyde has the lead role of Harold Hill.

There will be four performances in total, beginning tonight (Friday) at 7 p.m.

On Saturday, there will be two showings - one at 2 p.m. and the other at 7 p.m.

The performance wraps up with a Sunday showing at 2 p.m.

Tickets can be purchased at Dave's Marketplace in Wickford and Quonset, the North Kingstown Chamber of Commerce, the high school and Baker's Pharmacy in Jamestown.

Tickets are $12 in advance and $16 at the door.
