St. Anthony's Feast - Portsmouth
Bring your appetite. And the kids. Chouricos and peppers, live music, carnival rides, booths, highlights include the Sunday procession of St. Anthony, the concert by St. Isabella Band of Bristol on Saturday and folk dancing Sunday afternoon. Dinner is served starting at 5 p.m. 

36th South County Hot Air Balloon Festival - Kingston
What started as a group of balloon enthusiasts enjoying picturesque South County from a perch above the vast sweep of turf field framing the University of Rhode Island campus in Kingston has become one of the most highly-anticipated annual Rhode Island summer events. This year there's the balloons, plus carnival rides, the music of Roomful of Blues, food and craft vendors, a classic car show on Saturday, fireworks, and much more. Parking is free, RV camping is available. Begins Friday night and runs through Sunday. 

Bach and Friends at Quarter 'Til - Newport
Music on the Point presents this fun 15-minute performance to the Church of St. John the Evangelist at Washington and Willow Streets in Newport. It's a concert/mini-demonstration with organ music featuring Bach and another composer. Admission is a quarter to the Quarter 'Till, to benefit renovation of the 1894 Hook & Hastings pipe organ installed 120 years ago. This weekend it's Bach and Louis Vierne. 8:45 am, 11:45 am, 2:45 pm, 5:45 pm, 8:45 pm. (Quarter ’til 9, noon, 3, 6, and 9)

Balford Beatty Community Yard Sale - Newport, Middletown, Portsmouth
Balfour Beatty Communities will be hosting a community-wide yard sale this Saturday, July 19, rain or shine. The yard sales will take place in the homes throughout the communities of Greene Lane and Coddington Cove in Middletown; Melville Housing in Portsmouth; and Ft. Adams, Hart Field, and Farragut Field located in Newport. The yard sales will run from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Please call (401) 846-8877 for more details.

27th Annual Arts and Artisan Festival at Tiverton Four Corners - Tiverton
Tiverton Four Corners is once again proud to present their Annual Arts & Artisan Festival on Saturday, July 19th from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Now in its 27th year, this festival has seen some of the best local, regional and national artists display and sell their works.

Black Ships Festival - Newport
In its 31st anniversary, the festival remembers and celebrates America's first trade agreement with Japan with a host of events. See samurai sword fighters, anime demonstrations, drums and more. Tickers, calendar of events and more are available at the detailed Black Ships Festival Web site. Festival gala is Saturday night at Marble House.

Get Hypnotized at Newport Grand for Free - Newport
Bruce James will be on hand at Newport Grand Saturday at 9 p.m. to bring out the best — or perhaps worst — from the crowd in the this free Las Vegas-style show that is bound to bring laughs. 

NIMFest Brings Pop Music to King Park - Newport
Come on down Sunday at 3 p.m. for The Billy Goode's Reunion Band with singer/songwriter Kevin Sullivan features guitarists Charlie Shea and Chris Vaillancourt, bassist Elias Wheeler and drummer Michael Jackson, along with guests from the band's tenure at the long established, but recently closed, Billy Goode's. The popular Newport trio Pier Jump, featuring the accordionist/singer Bessie Bessin, opens.  Lawn seating. Free thanks to a generous gift from Mrs. Dorrance Hamilton. 

Project HEAL Yard Sale Fundraiser - Middletown
Clothes for women, men and kids, toys, furniture, sporting goods, kitchen items and more. Support Project HEAL with their yard sale fundraiser beginning at 8:00 a.m. on Sunday, July 20t. 100 percent of sales go directly to Project HEAL: Help to Eat, Accept, and Live. Project HEAL is a 501(c) non-profit organization that raises funds to provide eating disorder treatment scholarships for motivated individuals in need, and promotes positive body image.

Carwash to Benefit Tiverton High School Class of 2017 - Middletown
From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., The Tiverton HS Class of 2017 will be holding a car wash at Taylor Rentals, Party Plus in Middletown,  on Saturday, July 20th.  For a donation of $5.00, you can get your car washed by the Class of 2017.  There will also be a bake sale at the car wash to benefit the class.

20th Celebrate Summer 5K - South Kingstown
Come to cheer on and support — or run — in the this 5K run/walk to benefit the Sung Harbor - East Matunuck Civic Association. Get there before 8 a.m. on Saturday morning. Proceeds fund the South Kingstown High School scholarship fund.

Go Beachcombing as a Family - Jamestown
Learn how to explore the beach as a true beachcomber and go beyond the basic sifting and looking for interesting rocks. A two-hour experience, a URI Graduate School of Oceanography Outreach Scientist will lead this program, starting at 8 a.m. at the Fort Getty beach pavillion in Jamestown. 

Get in Shape at Bristol's Free Summer Boot Camp - Bristol
To create a healthier community Bristol Total Fitness and Bristol Parks and Recreation are inviting people to a free 60-minute boot camp every Saturday morning through Aug. 30. It's free and be there bright and early at 6:45 a.m. It's time to rip!

Celebrate No Tolls on the Sakonnet River Bridge - Tiverton
It was a hard fought victory for members of STOP — Sakonnet Toll Oppression Platform — to get tolls removed from the bridge. Now it's time to party. The group is gathering at 1:30 p.m. at Li'l Bear Restaurant at 983 Main Road. Come to thank East Bay legislators. It's $5 to get in.

Free Sunrise Yoga - Bristol
If boot camp isn't your thing, there's a free sunrise yoga every Sunday at Rockwell Park in Bristol next to the Prudence Island Ferry parking lot. Bring your mat and be ready by 7:30 a.m.
