Recycle Your Christmas Tree: Live Christmas trees can be recycled at the Transfer Station (345 Devils Foot Road) free of charge through Jan. 25. Trees must be free of all decorations and removed from bag used to transport prior to disposal. After January 25, regular disposal rates will apply.

Photo Contest: Enter the fifth-annual Richard B. Dunne Jr. Memorial Scholarship Fund Photography Contest and help support a great cause – students at North Kingstown High School. The contest is open to amateur shutterbugs of all ages, but entries must be received by Jan. 10. For more information, visit www.RBDscholarship.org.

2014 Wickford Art Association Invitational Show: The EG Art Club is having a show and sale in Wickford from Jan. 10 to Feb. 2. It is called “2014 Wickford Art Association Invitational Show” and will be held at 36 Beach Street.
