The Pear, The Wave, The Animal, an opening: Paintings by Lorena Pugh at the Coastal Living Gallery Aug. 5-31, but the opening is Tuesday evening from 5 to 8 p.m.
Photo workshop: This is a slide presentation by Eileen McCarney Muldoon and Cindy Horovitz Wilson. They explore the wonders of travel photography as experienced through their Profundo Journeys workshops. Visit Cuba, Ireland, Greece, Italy and Hungary through the eyes of the instructors and participants. For over 16 years, they have been photographing together for the pure sake of art. This presentation is free and open to the public. Wickford Art Association, 36 Beach Street. 7 p.m.

Bike Burlington (Vermont!): Library Outreach Coordinator Elizabeth Donovan will share her slides of bike rides in Burlington, Vt. Cruise along Lake Champlain, through Ethan Allen Park, past cornfields in the Intervale and end up at the University of Vermont. Or try a more challenging road ride through the quiet country roads of the Champlain Islands. Bring stories of your own favorite bike rides. Highway to Hope Charity Motorcycle Run: The Gloria Gemma Breast Cancer Resource Foundation invites New England motorcyclists to get their motors running and head out on the highway for the Highway to Hope Charity Motorcycle Run! Bikers from all over the region will hit the road, starting and ending at Ocean State Harley-Davidson in Exeter. You can find out lots more here.
