Art Sale, Auction, Raffle, Music, Food – All to Give a Dam Aug 12

Sign up by Aug. 5 for Gilbert Stuart Museum's 80th anniversary fundraiser to restore a fish-ladder dam

North Kingstown's Gilbert Stuart Birthplace and Museum will celebrate its 80th anniversary with a fundraiser at the museum Aug. 12. The museum is raising money for a $22,500 project to restore a fishladder dam, which aids spawning fish, at the site.

The Moonlight Magic event, chaired by artist David Schock, will feature his artwork on display and for sale, along with music by the Elderly Brothers, a light supper and dessert, wine, a silent auction, and a raffle featuring a hand-crafted quilt.

Tickets are $45, and the reservation deadline is Aug. 5. To register, contact Peg O'Connor, executive director of the museum, (401) 294-3001, or visit the museum web site.
