When Do Fall Varsity Sports Start in North Kingstown?

School is starting soon — and that means NKHS athletes will soon take to the field, the track, and the courts.

As the summer winds down and kids return to school — remember, the first day of school in NK is Aug. 27 — high school sports teams are preparing to start their fall seasons.

Here's the run-down of season-opening games for the Skippers' varsity squads — click on the links to visit the RI Interscholastic League online schedules for more.

Girls Volleyball:

  • Aug. 30 at 4 p.m., Injury Fund tourney at home vs. Narragansett High School
  • Sept. 5 at 6:30 p.m. at home vs. The Prout School
Girls Field Hockey
  • Sept. 3 at 4 p.m. at Tiverton High School
  • Sept. 6 at 6:30 p.m. at home vs. South Kingstown High School
Girls Tennis:
  • Sept. 3 at 4 p.m. at The Lincoln School
  • Sept. 5 at 3:30 p.m. at Smithfield High School
Girls Soccer:
  • Sept. 5 at 3:30 p.m. at The Prout School
  • Sept. 10 at 4 p.m. at Barrington High School
Boys Soccer:
  • Sept. 6 at 7 p.m. at LaSalle Academy
  • Sept. 11 at 6:30 p.m. at home vs. Shea High School
Football:
  • Sept. 7 at 5 p.m., Injury Fund Tournament at South Kingstown High School
  • Sept. 13 at 7 p.m. at Coventry High School
Unified Volleyball:
  • Sept. 11 at Bishop Hendricken High School
