Canoeing Made Easy

CANOEING MADE EASY
Saturday, March 26th, 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM at Kettle Pond Visitor Center in Charlestown, RI
Have you ever wanted to go canoeing but were never very sure it was for you? Come learn some canoeing basics from Jim Cole, author of “Paddling Connecticut and Rhode Island,” including the correct way to paddle, many tips on how to make paddling easier and more enjoyable (as well as a review of basic paddle strokes and when to use them!). Items covered also include subjects from safety to planning trips and all the required equipment. This program includes an instructional video followed by a question and answer segment.
Presented by Jim Cole, USFWS Volunteer & certified canoe and kayak instructor

USFWS requests that the adult bringing the young person(s) to the program remain at the site for the duration of the program. Thank you!

Please remember to dress for the weather and activity.
