WMS Girls, DMS Boys Soccer Teams Advance to State Championships

North Kingstown has two shots at taking home a state championship in middle school soccer Wednesday.

North Kingstown has not one but two teams vying for the middle school soccer state championships Wednesday night. With wins Monday night over Portsmouth and Kickemuit middle schools, the Davisville Middle School boys soccer team and the Wickford Middle School girls team will now battle over on Aquidneck Island for the state title.

Monday night, the Dragons defeated Portsmouth Middle School 1-0 to advance to the state championships while the Wildcats punched their ticket to the finals with a 1-0 win over Kickemuit.

The Wildcats take on Portsmouth Middle School at 5 p.m. followed by the Dragons vs. Coventry's Feinstein Middle School at 7 p.m.
