Two NK Students Given 'Young Leader' Awards

State Treasurer Gina Raimondo presented the awards to Michael White and Chelsea Campbell

General Treasurer Gina M. Raimondo recently presented the Treasury Young Leader Award to 37 students, including 2 from North Kingstown. This award recognizes high school juniors who have demonstrated an interest in entrepreneurship and outstanding achievement in math, economics, and business-related classes.

“The Treasury Young Leader Award honors students who not only excel at their studies but also make significant contributions in their communities,” Raimondo said. “Meeting these talented students and their families makes me proud and optimistic for the future of our state.”

Michael White, a junior at School One in Providence, is a student representative to the school’s Board of Directors and helps with new student orientation.
