The school has been cleared for re-entry.

School officials evacuated Suzanne M. Henseler Quidnessett Elementary School Monday morning after a strange odor was detected.

Students and staff were evacuated around 11:05 a.m. during Monday's snow fall. According to an email sent out by Principal Louise Denette, the odor came from the school's art, music and gym area. The North Kingstown Fire Department, the school department's maintenance team, and National Grid all checked the building and cleared it for re-entry at about 11:30 a.m.
