NKHS Student Receives Cumberland Farms Scholarship

Emily Lipsitz, a senior at NKHS, is one of nine Rhode Island recipients of the award.

One North Kingstown High School student has nabbed a scholarship from Cumberland Farms, along with eight other Rhode Islanders.

Emily Lipsitz, a and sister of North Kingstown Patch blogger , received $1,000 after being awarded a Cumberland Farms Believe and Achieve Scholarship. The scholarship, in its fifth consecutive year, is open to any student living within 30 miles of a Cumberland Farms outlet and is awarded based on academic performance and financial need.

“More than ever, today’s high school graduates deserve to attend the college of their dreams without finances standing in the way,” said Cumberland Farms President Ari Haseotes. “We are proud to help these college-bound students ease their costs through our Believe and Achieve scholarship.”
