NKHS Blood Drive Nets Record 126 Donations

The blood drive at NKHS on Friday, Nov. 22, was the most successful blood drive ever held at NK!

• 141 students, parents and staff turned out to donate on Friday.
• 126 successfully donated
• Close to 400 blood products will come from our one blood drive.
• Imagine the countless lives that will be saved because of our one blood drive!

Special thanks to head football coach Joe Gilmartin for his encouragement to all his players to donate – a record number of football players turned out on Friday.

Thanks to all of the parent volunteers who helped the blood drive run incredibly smoothly including: Maribeth Moniz, Kathleen O’Brien, Christen Hodgkinson, Cyndy Bjorn, Carole Rollins, Sue Fisher, Lynn Beatty, Tracy Wilkinson, Diane Rivelli, Kerri Bamford, and Renee Wadovick.

Thanks to Donna Manchester and the entire PE Department for giving up the small gym for the blood drive – the space worked beautifully and contributed to the smooth processing of all donors.
