It Can Wait: Students Take 'Don't Text & Drive' Pledge

The R.I. Attorney General's office came to North Kingstown High School last week to urge students – particularly those on the cusp of driving – to take the "Don't Take & Drive" pledge.

North Kingstown Police Chief Thomas Mulligan, Rhode Island State Police Major James Manni, and representatives of the AG's office and the Dept. of Transportation, were on hand, and students watched a compelling video made by AT&T about families who'd lost family members to accidents caused by drivers who were texting

But it was the recent car accident deaths of North Kingstown residents that appeared to be perhaps the biggest motivation for students, as borne out by the video attached.
