Four Local Students Nab Dunkin Donuts Scholarship

Three NK residents and one Saunderstown resident were each awarded $1,000 from the coffee chain giant.

Though most of us get caffeine boosts from Dunkin Donuts, four local students are getting a nice financial boost from the coffee chain giant.

Amanda David, Melanie Donnelly, Jacqueline Robert and Elena Suglia (North Kingstown High School’s most recent valedictorian) along with Saunderstown resident Maxwell Rittner were each awarded a $1,000 scholarship from the Dunkin Donuts Franchisees of Rhode Island and Southeastern, MA. The four were honored at a breakfast reception at the Dunkin Donuts Center.

“More than 16 years have passed since we awarded our first scholarship, and I could not be more thrilled that we have been able to not only sustain the program, but grow it to what it is today,” said Joe Prazeres, Dunkin’ Donuts franchisee.  “We are so proud of this year’s remarkable recipients and know that they will be successful in whatever paths they choose to follow.”
