The Architects' Collaborative and The North Kingstown Library

Join us for a slide lecture by David Corbin, adjunct professor at Roger Williams University School of Art, Architecture and Historic Preservation, and Boston architect.  Mr. Corbin will focus on the creation of the firm (TAC) and a body of modern work that concentrated mainly on schools, libraries and public buildings. Special attention will be given to the NK Library.

TAC's design of the NK Free Library in 1974 reflected the firm's concern with the naturalistic siting of a building and represented an early adaption of the principles of environmentally friendly design, now more commonly referred to as a green design.  The Architects' Collaborative (TAC) was a Cambridge, MA architectural firm that was found in in 1945.
