OIL SPILLS: UNDERSTANDING THE SCIENCE AND CLEANUP METHODS

This program is offered FREE to the public by a dedicated and skilled group of volunteers, U.S. Fish & Wildlife staff, and local community resources in an effort to increase your enjoyment of the conservation, protection and enhancement of your National Wildlife Refuges in Rhode Island.

OIL SPILLS: UNDERSTANDING THE SCIENCE AND CLEANUP METHODS
Saturday, June 25th, 1:00PM -- 3:00PM
Sachuest Point National Wildlife Refuge; Middletown, RI

We all recall the Deepwater Horizon oil spill from last spring and know that such spills can be very harmful. In this activity, participants will take part in hands-on activities to learn about and explore previous spills, what happens during an oil spill, and about why these events are harmful to wildlife.
