Lafayette History Walk

Join local historian, Tim Cranston for a fascinating stroll through Lafayette Village, one of the largest and most successful mill villages in North Kingstown and center of the Rodman family textile empire.

At its peak Rodman Manufacturing in Lafayette employed more than 500 people. The village included every amenity required at the time. In addition, the Rodman family constructed four fine mill owner mansions within walking
distance of the mill building.

This walking tour will be held on Saturday, September 29 beginning at 10:00 AM. The starting point is the parking lot behind the main Rodman Mill building near the waterfall, Ten Rod Road, North Kingstown.
