Creating Environments for Children with Hearing Loss

You are invited to "Health Matters" - Creating Environments for Children with Hearing Loss. 

This event is sponsored by Women & Infants Hospital, RI Department of Health and RI Hearing Assessment Program.

Nationally renowned professionals who specialize in childhood hearing loss will join us today to discuss a variety of topics such as:

  • RI resources for the deaf and hard-of-hearing,
  • how to support families of those children,
  • long-term outcomes of cochlear implantation
  • parents accounts on transitioning from early intervention to school-based services

In conjunction with today's conference the RI Hearing Assessment Program is also sponsoring the Seventh Annual Art Competition.  All school-aged children in RI with a permanent hearing loss are invited to participate. The artwork will be on display at the conference.
