Featured Home: It's the Details at 138 Smoke Ridge Drive

This week's featured home in North Kingstown offers classic detailing in a modern package.

This week's featured home in North Kingstown is for the buyer that wants a little extra detail.

Take the stovetop, for example. Here, no simple hood vent will do. Instead, it's framed in wood like a hearth with carving details that feature grave vines and pineapples. What better way to say "welcome, sit down, have a glass of wine while you wait for something to eat."

And with 9-foot ceilings, wainscoting, a formal dining room and a sprawling 43,000 square foot lot, this house won't let you down in the rest of the house.

Located in the Quidnessett neighborhood, this house was built in 2001 but the detailing would make you think it's much older. But with gas heat and hot water, central air, radiant heat, a 2-car garage, modern appliances and a first floor master suite, there are no compromises found in older homes here.

Taxes land at about $9,222 per year.

LOL! Look at the picture of the "blue" bedroom. Why are the pillows lined up down the side of the bed...and not at the head of the bed??????
