Submit Your Questions to General Assembly Candidates

What would you ask those running for local representative and state senator positions?

The 2012 General Election is only weeks away and voters still have a lot of questions. Why not get them answered?

North Kingstown Patch will be sending out questionnaires to all candidates running for local and state office. We have some ideas of what we want to ask them, but want North Kingstown voters to contribute.

What questions do you have for the those running for a spot in the General Assembly? Perhaps you want to know they'd attract business to the state? Or grow more jobs here?

Submit your questions below in our comments section for consideration. As always, please keep this civil and on topic.

Have questions for other candidates? Submit your questions for the North Kingstown Town Council's candidates here and those running for spots in the North Kingstown School Committee here.

I know this is not a hugely serious topic but I just wonder, as must other folks, why almost no maintainance his done to newly built roadsides, deviders, curbs. etc. & they fill with lush weeds. The weeds do serious damage, weakening the concrete & w/ freezing & thawing are the principal reason they need replacement often. The Sakonet Bridge lasted just about 50 years which is not a reasonable length of time for such a structure to require rejplacement. Any hope for a REAL maintainance plan for things like this that taxpayers have to pay for again & again?

With state spending increasing over 85% in 12 years and the sour economy, are you willing to cut spending and lower taxes to encourage small business startups?
