According to state officials, the grant is for $1,300.

PROVIDENCE – Sen. James C. Sheehan (D-Dist. 36, Narragansett, North Kingstown) will present a $1,300 Legislative grant to the Katie Decubellis Memorial Foundation.

The Decubellis Foundation was created by the parents and family of Katie Decubellis, who died in 1999 as the result of an incident involving a drunk driver. She was 13 at the time. The fund established in her memory helps promote a statewide awareness campaign on the dangers of substance abuse and drunk driving.
