North Kingstown Election 2012: Unofficial Results

9:45 p.m.  All precincts are reported in, except for mail ballots. According to the town clerk, there are approximately 1,100 mail-in ballots that have yet to be counted. Please note the below results are not official results at this time.

9 p.m.  Six of 11 precincts are now reported in North Kingstown, according to the Secretary of State's website. Check the results below as they come in. We'll be updating this as more precincts report.

1 p.m.  North Kingstown is seeing strong voter turnout thus far. Expect lines at the polls.

9 a.m.  South Kingstown accidentally received ballots intended for North Kingstown this morning. According to the town clerk in NK, this will not impact voting in town.

6 a.m.   Today at 7 a.m., polls will open in town as North Kingstown voters join millions of Americans across the country casting their ballot. Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. today. Click here to find out your polling place.

In North Kingstown, all five seats for Town Council are up for re-election. This year, a whopping 14 candidates are vying for a spot on the council. For School Committee, four candidates are running for three vacant seats. (The remaining four will come back up for a vote in 2014.)

North Kingstown voters will also be faced with four races for spots up at the State House – House District 31, House District 32, State Senate District 35 and State Senate District 32.
