District Court Log: February 22 and 23, 2011

A wrap-up of court activity.

WAKEFIELD – The following cases were heard in Fourth Division District Court:

  • Robert Nelson Hazard, also known as Luke Hazard, 40, formerly of 1 Navy Drive, North Kingstown, and now of 20 Hornet Road, North Kingstown, pleaded no contest to a North Kingstown police charge of disorderly conduct. He was ordered to serve six months probation and a six-month suspended sentence.
  • Russell James Chamberlain, 31, of 5036 Oxford Ave., Apt. #N, St. Petersburg, FL, pleaded no contest to a North Kingstown police charge of driving with a suspended license. He was ordered to pay a $250 fine unless providing proof of license reinstatement by April 5.
  • Domingo Sam Cosme, 30, of 44 Sorrento St., Apt. #44, Providence, pleaded no contest to a Rhode Island State Police charge emanating from the Wickford barracks of driving without a license. He was ordered to pay a $250 fine.
  • A North Kingstown police charge of violating a protective order against Jason C. Malenfant, 29, of 774 Old Baptist Road, North Kingstown, was dismissed. According to court documents, the underlying Family Court no-contact order was dismissed.
  • North Kingstown police charges of assault and disorderly conduct against Jonathan Patrick Toolin, 18, of 20 King Phillip Drive, North Kingstown, were dismissed. According to court documents, the charges were dismissed because Toolin is successfully completing a treatment program.
  • A North Kingstown police charge of driving with a suspended license against Tonia A. Minnick, 47, of 41 Palmer Circle, Hope Valley, was dismissed. According to court documents, Minnick provided proof of license reinstatement.
