District Court Log: April 5 and 6, 2011

A wrap-up of court activity.

WAKEFIELD – The following cases were heard in Fourth Division District Court:

  • Erik W. Machado, 26, formerly of 171 Frenchtown Road, 2nd Floor, North Kingstown, and now of 83 Allison Court, North Kingstown, pleaded no contest to a North Kingstown police charge of assault. He was ordered to complete 20 hours of community service and alcohol abuse screening. The charge will be filed for one year, and in return for his plea, additional charges of resisting arrest and disorderly conduct were dismissed.
  • Charissa Gardner, 32, of 52 Intrepid Drive, Apt. #G, North Kingstown, pleaded no contest to a North Kingstown police charge of assault. The charge will be filed for one year, and Gardner was ordered to attend domestic violence counseling. An additional charge of disorderly conduct was dismissed in return for her plea, and a no-contact order between Gardner and a 35-year-old person was quashed.
  • Kurt Lawrence Feinberg, 20, of 135 Grant Drive, North Kingstown, pleaded no contest to a North Kingstown police charge of shoplifting. He was ordered to complete 20 hours of community service and to pay $136.92 in restitution for 10 DVDs. The charge will be filed for one year, and a no-trespass was enacted between Feinberg and Walmart.
  • Simone Viana Grieco, 42, of 187 Beacon Ave., Jamestown, pleaded o contest to a North Kingstown police charge of disorderly conduct. Grieco was ordered to serve 20 hours of community service and to make a $300 donation to the Violent Crimes Indemnity Fund. The charge will be filed for one year, and in return for Grieco’s plea, additional charges of resisting arrest and obstruction were dismissed.
  • Christopher C. Cram, 42, formerly of 1095 Ives Road, Warwick, and 887 Boston Neck Road, Narragansett, and now of 10 Ambrose St., Providence, pleaded no contest to a North Kingstown police charge of driving with a suspended license, seventh offense. He was ordered to pay a $750 fine and to serve a year of probation.
  • Evan Patrick O’Neil, 22, of 125 Providence St., West Warwick, pleaded no contest to a North Kingstown police charge of driving with a suspended license, third offense. He was ordered to pay a $500 fine.
  • Vasilis N. Ducas, 26, formerly of 6921 Post Road, North Kingstown, and now of 53 Belle Aire Drive, North Kingstown, pleaded no contest to a North Kingstown police charge of driving with a suspended license, third offense. Ducas was ordered to pay a $500 fine.
  • Manuel Benito, 32, formerly of 141 Bellevue Ave., Providence, and now of 142 Superior, Providence, pleaded no contest to a Rhode Island State Police charge emanating from the Wickford barracks of driving without a license, second offense. He was ordered to pay a $350 fine.
  • A North Kingstown police charge of larceny against Stephen L. Ferra, 62, of 2 Wakerobin, Narragansett, was dismissed. According to court records, Ferra made a $100 donation to the Violent Crimes Indemnity Fund.
