Charges Dismissed Against School Committee Member

All three charges against School Committee Member Larry Ceresi were dismissed this week.

Charges have been dismissed against North Kingstown School Committee Member Larry Ceresi this week.

Ceresi was facing three misdemeanors (domestic simple assault, domestic disorderly conduct and refusal to relinquish a phone) stemming from a . All three charges were dismissed on May 22 in Third District Court. According to Ceresi the indicent was the result of “challenging family times.”

“I appreciate the professionalism of the throughout the process,” said Ceresi. “I’m also especially appreciative of the many people in the community who called me and were genuinely concerned for both my family and me, and those who didn’t rush to judgment and let the process play out.”

An Independent, 40-year-old Ceresi has served on the North Kingstown School Committee since 2006.
