Budget Hearings Begin this Week
Council to meet with department heads, get preliminary budget review from Town Manager this week.
The Town Council will start its budget work for the year on Tuesday.
Town Manager Michael Embury will present his budget to the council on Tuesday night at the Beechwood Senior Center, 44 Beach Street. The meeting starts at 6:15 p.m.
Embury will deliver the budget to the council and provide an overview of the budget as a whole. Department heads will also be on hand to review their budgets for schools, police, fire, the Tax Assessor and Town Clerk.
The meeting is for the council to meet with department heads and is not the public hearing for residents.
That meeting is on Monday, April 14 at 6 p.m. for the municipal budget and 7:30 p.m. for the school budget. That meeting's location hasn't been determined.
